Operating Experience
Canva
Canva is a global design platform that has transformed how individuals and organisations create visual content. The company has grown from a small Australian startup into one of the world’s most widely used design tools, serving hundreds of millions of users across individuals, teams and enterprises.
I spent eight years as CFO during a period of significant growth and continue to hold a meaningful shareholding earned during that time. My experience at Canva provided a front-row seat to the challenges and opportunities involved in building and scaling a global technology company.
The lessons from that period continue to shape how I think about product development, company building and investing in early-stage technology businesses.
